Trompe L'oeil is the style of painting which creates the
illusion of being three dimensional. It comes from the French
word Trompe L'oeil which translates "to deceive the eye".
Murals & artwork containing Trompe L'oeil are very realistic,
although realism is not always necessary to achieve the effect.
We use
faux finishing and other techniques to create the desired Trompe
L'oeil effect that can become a dramatic focal point in a room or a
pleasant surprise above a bed, door or window. We work in many
different styles -- from old-world to contemporary imagery. Take a
look at the
Murals
section.
